Mason Wisnieski hit two home runs and drove in five as Derby Twins defeated Performance Factory Phenoms 12-2 on Saturday at 610 Butler Rd. Mason Wisnieski homered in the first and ninth innings.
Derby Twins opened the scoring in the first after Mason Wisnieski homered to left field, scoring three runs.
Derby Twins added one run in the second. Performance Factory Phenoms committed an error, making the score 4-0.
Derby Twins added one run in the third. Brit Vick singled to center field, making the score 5-0.
Derby Twins scored two runs in the top of the fifth on a home run to center field by Brit Vick.
Isaac Lager hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the seventh for the Performance Factory Phenoms.
Four more Derby Twins runs crossed the plate in the ninth inning to extend the lead to 12-1. Mason Wisnieski homered to center field, scoring two runs, Landon Sandy hit a solo home run to right field, and Beau Sweeney singled, scoring one run.
Dylan Hunsaker earned the win for Derby Twins. The lefty gave up two hits and one run over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one. Jordey Pierce took the loss for Performance Factory Phenoms. The hurler went three innings, surrendering five runs (four earned) on four hits, striking out three and walking two. Josh Turner appeared in relief for Derby Twins.
Derby Twins collected 14 hits in the game. Jude Almaraz, Derby Twins’s number seven hitter, led the team with three hits in five at-bats. Beau Sweeney and Brit Vick each collected multiple hits for Derby Twins.
Reed Hackleman, Isaac Lager, and Amarion Sailer each collected one hit for Performance Factory Phenoms. Isaac Lager and Amarion Sailer each drove in one run for Performance Factory Phenoms.
Derby Twins play at home on Sunday against Performance Factory Phenoms in their next game.
