Derby Twins won big over Kingman Islanders 13-1 on Wednesday at Riverside Park.

Derby Twins got on the board in the top of the first inning after Brit Vick singled down the left field line, Jude Almaraz walked, and Beau Sweeney walked, each scoring one run.

Derby Twins added one run in the second after Jude Almaraz grounded out.

Derby Twins scored three runs in the top of the fourth on a home run to center field by Jesse Saucedo.

Derby Twins added five more runs in the top of the seventh inning on five hits. Mason Wisnieski homered to center field, scoring two runs, Jude Almaraz doubled, scoring two runs, and Brady Skinner singled, scoring one run.

Landon Blais earned the win for Derby Twins. The pitcher surrendered three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking one. Gabriel Elms took the loss for Kingman Islanders. The right-handed pitcher went two innings, giving up four runs on four hits, striking out two and walking three. Noah Allison appeared in relief for Derby Twins.

Derby Twins accumulated 14 hits in the game. Jesse Saucedo, the number eight hitter for Derby Twins, led the way with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-5 on the day. Brit Vick led Derby Twins with three hits in five at bats. Jude Almaraz, Mason Wisnieski, Beau Sweeney, and Gavin Mesa each collected multiple hits for Derby Twins. Josh Weaver paced Derby Twins with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game.

Owen Schmidt led Kingman Islanders with one run batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Jack Jewell, Mitchel McDaniel, and Owen Schmidt each collected one hit for Kingman Islanders.
