Derby Twins got on the board in the second inning after Colin Conrad induced Hayden Hernandez to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
Derby Twins added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Landon Blais singled to center field, and Gavin Mesa hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Dylan Hunsaker earned the win for Derby Twins. The southpaw surrendered four hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking six. Colin Conrad took the loss for Junction City Brigade. The pitcher went six innings, surrendering four runs on six hits, striking out seven and walking two. AJ Bekedam appeared in relief for Derby Twins.
Derby Twins collected 11 hits in the game. Gavin Mesa drove the middle of the lineup, leading Derby Twins with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Brit Vick led Derby Twins with three hits in five at bats. Noah Allison and Mason Wisnieski each collected multiple hits for Derby Twins. Noah Allison stole two bases.
