Derby Twins easily dispatched Kansas Cannons on Monday at 1025 E Augusta Ave, 10-0.

Derby Twins got on the board in the top of the first inning after Gavin Mesa singled down the left field line, and Dawson Robbins walked, each scoring one run.

Derby Twins added one run in the second after Mason Wisnieski grounded out.

Derby Twins added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Spencer Simpson walked, Landon Blais walked, and Mason Wisnieski was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.

Brady Skinner homered to left field, scoring three runs in the top of the fourth for the Derby Twins.

Landon Blais started on the bump for Derby Twins. The left-handed pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking one. Wyatt Barnoski started on the bump for Kansas Cannons. The right-handed pitcher allowed four hits and six runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking five.

Derby Twins accumulated nine hits in the game. Brady Skinner led Derby Twins with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The left fielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Spencer Simpson and Gavin Mesa each collected two hits for Derby Twins. Derby Twins had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Spencer Simpson, Dawson Robbins, and Landon Sandy led the team with two walks each. Derby Twins were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Dawson Robbins had the most chances in the field with eight.

Jackson Witt and Zach Makarewich each collected one hit for Kansas Cannons. Kansas Cannons were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Cooper Gaoiran made the most plays with four.
