Great Bend Bat Cats scored nine runs in the fourth inning, which helped them defeat Derby Twins 13-1 on Saturday at 4714 17th Street Terr.

A ground out by Jaxon Bunkers put Great Bend Bat Cats on the board in the bottom of the first.

Great Bend Bat Cats scored nine runs on six hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Peanut Brazzle lined out, scoring one run, Cesar Chavira drew a walk, scoring one run, TJ Shaw Jr singled, scoring two runs, Andrugh Yee singled, scoring one run, Jaxon Bunkers drew a walk, scoring one run, Kirby Orth singled, scoring two runs, and Peanut Brazzle lined out, scoring one run.

Ian Carlson started on the hill for Derby Twins. The right-handed pitcher surrendered two hits and six runs (five earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out five and walking four. Zachary Alarid stepped on the mound first for Great Bend Bat Cats. The pitcher surrendered three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out four and walking none.

Noah Allison went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Noah Allison, Landon Sandy, Mason Wisnieski, Gerado Prado, and Javier Rodriguez each collected one hit for Derby Twins.

Great Bend Bat Cats tallied 11 hits in the game. Peanut Brazzle, the number seven hitter for Great Bend Bat Cats, led the way with four runs batted in. The left fielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Andrugh Yee and TJ Shaw Jr each collected two hits for Great Bend Bat Cats. Great Bend Bat Cats had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. George McCarroll and Jaxon Bunkers led the team with two free passes each. Great Bend Bat Cats were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Andrugh Yee made the most plays with 10.
