Derby Twins stayed in it until the end, but Performance Factory Phenoms pulled away late in a 3-1 victory on Monday at 610 Butler Rd. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the seventh when Kai’i Sylvester homered to left field, scoring two runs.

Derby Twins lost despite out-hitting Performance Factory Phenoms nine to three. Landon Sandy and Gavin Mesa each collected two hits for Derby Twins.

Performance Factory Phenoms were the first to get on the board in the fifth when Parker Clubb singled, scoring one run.

Landon Sandy singled down the left field line on an 0-2 count, which helped Derby Twins tie the game at one in the top of the seventh.

Josh Weaver stepped on the bump first for Derby Twins. The pitcher gave up zero hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out four and walking four. Gavin Short started the game for Performance Factory Phenoms. The starter gave up five hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking three.

Derby Twins collected nine hits in the game. Landon Sandy led Derby Twins with one run batted in. The right fielder went 2-for-4 on the day.

Kai’i Sylvester drove the middle of the lineup, leading Performance Factory Phenoms with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Parker Clubb, Kai’i Sylvester, and Kaleb Nye each collected one hit for Performance Factory Phenoms. Performance Factory Phenoms had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 10 walks for the game. Kai’i Sylvester, Manny Myers, and Myles Ross led the team with two walks each. Judd Blasi stole two bases. Performance Factory Phenoms turned one double play in the game.
