Peyton Barnes, Banjamin Sems, Corrigan Bartlett, and Jordan Wilkerson all knocked solo home runs helping the Great Bend Batcats to a 10-5 victory over the Derby Twins Wednesday night at Panther Field in Derby.
Bartlett's solo homer was part of a three run fifth inning that chased Twins starter Kyle Britt and gave the Batcats a 6-3 lead that they never relinquished.
The Twins were down 7-3 in the bottom of the 7th inning and pulled to within two on rbi singles by Jacob Means and Davis Elliott.
But Great Bend pulled away in the next half inning scoring 3 more on a solo homer by Wilkerson, and rbi singles by Barnes and Sems.
The Twins fall to 28-13 on the season and and wrap up the regular season Thursday at 7 with the final game if their series with Great Bend before preparing for the NBC World Series which the Twins will not have to appear until the second week of play.
